What crews report after the first pour cycle
These notes come from contractors and precast yards working with our panels, clamps and props. They focus on what changed on site: stripping times, hardware losses, transport loads and how the kit held up after repeated cycles.

We ran the 600x1200 panels on a retaining wall set and the folded edge took our existing clamps without shimming. Stripping went faster because the panel faces came off clean, and we could reuse the same clamp count across three pours.

The adjustable column clamps replaced three fixed box sizes we used to keep in the yard. One set now covers our 300 mm and 450 mm columns, and the carry frame stacks with the pallets instead of taking up a separate rack.

We ordered a starter kit and added panels as the job grew. Having the panel weight and load rating printed on each item meant we could plan the bakkie loads before the delivery left Johannesburg, which saved us a second trip.

The props came with the safe working load stamped on the tube, so the foreman matched them to the pour drawing without digging out a separate table. Drop heads and cone plugs shared the same thread as our tie rods, which cut down the loose hardware on the deck.

Reusability notes on the tie rods told us when to pull a set out of service instead of guessing. We replaced the worn clamps in the next bundle and kept the rest of the kit running, so the wall set stayed at the same panel count.

We colour-coded the powder-coated panels by mould size, which made it obvious at a glance which panels belonged to which bed. The galvanised stock stayed for the coastal jobs where the salt air was eating our older steel.
